Grilled Pineapple
This is a great addition to any backyard BBQ. Plus you could say it is almost healthy!

  • (1 Whole) Pineapple
  • (1/2 - 1 cup) Honey
  • (Drizzle) Olive Oil
  • (1/4 cup (optional)) Brown Sugar


Cut your pineapple up, there are many ways you can do this but just make sure your slices are between 1/4 and 1/2 inch thick. Place you pineapple slices into a ziplock bag and add a little olive oil to help keep them from sticking to your grill. Next add in your honey, add enough to lightly coat all of the pineapple. For a little more sweetness you can add some brown sugar but we prefer it with just the honey. Remove any air from the ziplock and seal, then place in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours. For best results, let it marinade over night. When your pineapple is ready, pre-heat your grill to a medium heat and place your slices on the grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side. You are looking for golden brown grill marks and a slight transparent look to the pineapple as it caramelizes. Garnish with some fresh mint if you are looking to impress your guests.
